FLAT PACK CAMPER
A flat pack truck camper is delivered as a DIY kit of flat components that can be assembled using basic tools in a home garage. FlatPakKamper applies this approach to create a lightweight, removable, truck camper system that minimizes complexity while giving owners full understanding and control over their build.
DESIGNED BY AN
ARCHITECT~BUILDER
FlatPakKamper is developed by Keith Hunter Architect~Builder, drawing on decades of experience in lightweight structures, fabrication, and hands-on construction. The system is based on laser-cut aluminum panels and 3-D printed connectors, designed for assembly without welding and for use with standard, readily available windows, doors, and hardware. Builders can either purchase pre-cut components shipped as a kit or obtain the full drawing set and 3-D printing files to fabricate parts independently - allowing for a more flexible and cost effective DIY approach.
PROTOTYPE IN ACTIVE DEVELOPMENT
FlatPakKamper is currently a working prototype in active development. The camper has been used for extended travel over the past year, and ongoing refinements are based on real world camping experience, in the road adjustments, and lessons learned from daily use. At this stage, the goal is to gauge interest in the concept and approach before finalizing drawings, documentation, and distribution options.
